Captain Neubergers KV2 Kolsch

Very tasty high ABV Kolsch!

However you do not get the boozy taste, very nice Kolsch and received high praise from many who have tried it.

5 Gallon batch size

OG: 1.066

FG: 1.008

ABV: 7.6%

SRM: 8 – 10

Grains:

10 lb German Pils (support our site and buy here, opens in a new link)

1 lb Vienna Malt (support our site and buy here, opens in a new link)

8 oz Crystal 80L (support our site and buy here, opens in a new link)

8 oz Melanoidin Malt (support our site and buy here, opens in a new link)

Hops:

1 oz Hallertau @ 90 mins (support our site and buy here, opens in a new link)

1 oz Saaz @ 40 mins (support our site and buy here, opens in a new link)

1 oz Saaz @ 15 mins (support our site and buy here, opens in a new link)

Yeast:

Safale k-97 (support our site and buy here, opens in a new link)

Instructions:

Strike water – 6 gallons to 157 f

Mash in

Mash @ 150 f for 75 mins

Mashout @ 164 f for 15 min

Sparge with 164 f, Bring Pro Boil water/wort level to 6.5 Gallons

Boil 90 mins
